Job Description
Job Purpose:
Data center engineers are responsible for designing, setting up, and managing information/network systems at data centers and monitoring systems operations to ensure servers, hard drives, and other data center equipment function efficiently. There are also inspect power/cooling systems to identify and fix flaws that may be detrimental to network performance.
Responsibilities
- Responsible on day-to-day operations, administration and task assignment of the department.
- Responsible for the on-site management of COLO/Data Center clients, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance
- Server and equipment performance monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for the installation of the racks/server/network equipment and the provision of power
- Management of the Data Center, in the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
- Opportunities to explore on data center networks setup and configuration.
- Review client contract requirement on COLO/Data Center compliance & ensure all SLA’s are achieved
- Delivery of exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Qualification Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma Graduate/Professional Degree specialized in IT/Computer or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge on server component and inventory such as Hard Disk, Ram, Processor and etc.
- Basic knowledge on network structure and network component such as UTP cable, Fiber Optic and SFP
- Willing to work on rotating shifts (Overnight shift allowance will be provided)
- Cisco CCNA certified or any other related professional certification is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
