Remote Backup

Our remote backup solution works at the block level, and we support customers running Hyper-V, VMware, OpenVZ and Virtuozzo among others. For example, in Hyper-V, you can install one agent on the hardware node and protect all the virtual machines, or you can install the agent into each VM and be able to do file level restoring.

Our solution can back up if the virtualization presents a block device for storage. Different types of hardware virtualization including: 1. Complete virtualization: Almost complete simulation of the actual hardware to allow software, which typically consists of a guest operating system, to run unmodified. 2. Partial virtualization: Partial target environment is simulated. Therefore, some guest programs may need modifications to run in this virtual environment. 3. Paravirtualization: A hardware environment is not simulated, however, the guest programs are executed in their own isolated domains as if they are running on a separate system. Guest programs need to be specifically modified to run in this environment.

Yes, we do. Server Backup Manager’s site-to-site replication provides our users with the ability of replicating data across SBM servers regardless of your geographic location. This new feature provides us with the means of replicating backup data across Server Backup Manager (SBM) servers regardless of your location. Replicated site data along with the SBM System Backup can be used to restore an entire SBM server, including its archived data, server configuration, and multi-tenant accounts.
